An 'SSL Certificate' is a snippet of code that encrypts communications between a website and an internet browser. When you see a website whose address starts with https://, you know that it has an SSL Certificate installed, and thereby is safer for use than websites that start with http://.

In 2016, Google reported that there was a 32% increase in the number of hacked websites as compared to 2015. Google wants the websites that people visit as a result of searching on Google to be as safe as possible. Therefore, Google has modified their ranking algorithm so that websites that use an SSL certificate will likely experience improved rankings on Google, and websites that do not use an SSL certificate will likely have their Google rankings decrease.

In order to keep your website as safe as possible and to keep your Google rankings as high as possible, your team at PD/GO Digital Marketing would like to offer to register and install an SSL certificate on your website. We estimate that the billable time should be no longer than one hour per website (billed at $90/hour), and the cost of the certificate itself is free for PD/GO Version 4 websites and around $30/year for most PD/GO Version 3 websites. Please note that some websites may require more expensive certificates and/or additional labor to complete the task, which would be billable.

Please send an email to support@pdgo.com if you have questions about his important service, or if you are ready to proceed. We look forward to serving you.

Thank you for your business.
