Hi everyone, this is Seth Goldsmith, the Technical Support Ninja at PD/GO. I am here today to talk to you about how to add your email account to Microsoft Outlook 2013. Microsoft Outlook 2010 will be very similar so this tutorial. This will also help you if you have Outlook 2010. So the first thing you're going to do is you're going to click File right here and then click Account Settings and then you're going to click this Account Settings down here. This brings up the Email Accounts dialog window. From here you're going to add a new account so click New and even though it's tempting to start entering in your information, Outlook dumps about ninety percent of what's entered here so we just click Manual Setup Additional Server Types and we click Next and on this screen.

Then we need to choose the service we're going to be using POP or IMAP and click Next. Okay here's where we're going to enter in all the details for our account. Now we're going to start with this one right here even though it's not the first on the list. It says POP3. if you're only configuring this account to use on one computer then POP3 is fine, however, IMAP is the standard protocol to use these days as we have phones and tablets and all sorts of other computers and devices checking our email. So IMAP will keep everything synchronized. So we're going to leave it at IMAP and enter in the rest of our information. Okay now take a close look at all the settings that I've configured here. First I want to point out a few things. We use mail.pdgo.com as the Incoming server and smtp pdgo.com as the Outgoing mail server. These mail servers will be the same exact settings on your computer no matter what your domain is. You use mail.pdgo.com and smtp pdgo.com.

Now we're going to go over you can click More Settings, click here and we're going to click the Outgoing Server tab just check this box right here that says my Outgoing Server smtp requires authentication it will use the same setting as my Incoming Mail Server so no other configuration is needed. Now go ahead and click the Advanced tab and we're going to make some changes in here. We're going to change the port numbers last because Outlook likes to change those after we change the security type so right here where it says used a following type of encrypted connection just click this drop-down menu and click SSL.

We're going to do the same thing to the Outgoing smtp. Use the following type of encrypted connection. We're going to click this drop-down menu and click again SSL. Now we're going to set the ports. Make sure that the top port is 993. That usually is set by default correctly. The Outgoing Server smtp port, smtp port needs to be set, that needs to be 465. Alright that's all we're going to do right here so go ahead and click OK.

Alright now that we have all of our information entered correctly, we're going to click Next and it will automatically test the account. Alright right here's where you want to make sure you get to check marks. Log on to Incoming Mail Server and send test email message; both have green checkmarks so we're ready to go from here. You can go ahead and click finish and click close and you're now ready to use your email. Keep in mind if you're using IMAP, your mail is not going to come into the inbox up here. This is your main inbox or this inbox, it's the same thing just this is your favorites. Your inbox for IMAP is going to be under the heading for that particular email account such as this test email at Positive Design.com account that we set up. So here's your inbox for that account, likewise if you click this arrow right here it will have the drop-down of all your draft, sent, trash, etc. All of these correspond to this test email account that we set up.

Alright that's it. You are ready to go and ready to check your email in a Microsoft Outlook 2013. If you have any issues or trouble with your PD/GO email. You are more than welcome to give us a call at 888-354-4946, press option two for support or you can always email support@pdgo.com from a working email address. Thanks a lot guys and we are so happy to have your business. Have a great day.

Hello and welcome. Thank you for choosing PD/GO Digital Marketing for all your digital marketing needs and in the video today we're going to be taking a look at setting up your PD/GO email address inside of Outlook 2016 or newer. Now to get started, we're going to open up our version of Outlook. Now if this is the first time you're using this version of Outlook, it may already be prompting you for your email address and that's fine. We're going to go up at the top left, click file, add account, and then it's going to bring us to that same position. So we're going to put in our email address, we're going to click advanced options and select "let me set up my account manually" and click connect. Now it might detect what kind of account it is. We're going to click on "IMAP" and then it's going to prompt us for the password. I'm going to input it and click connect.

Now as we can see, it's actually detected the account settings and so we're all done. We can click done and it'll start bringing in those emails. Now it may not have detected what kind of account it was. So we will actually go back to file and show what that looks like.

Click "add account".

Itt did a test message. No, here, it's not going to detect what kind of account this is. Click IMAP and now you can see it actually didn't figure out the settings, so we have to put them in manually. Incoming mail server is mail.pdgo.com

Port is 993, encryption is SSL/TLS. We're going to leave that unchecked. Outgoing mail is smtp.pdgo.com, port is 465 and same SSL/TLS. Next now it's asking for the password. Let me click connect and we've successfully added that too. Now if we needed to change a setting, we could actually go to file and then here we have this account selected. We can click here and change the server settings if we needed to. Maybe it didn't detect something correctly so we could change the incoming settings or the outgoing settings right here. You can also go to account settings for it.

And then click change to change some additional options.

Or if you have a problem, you can also click repair. Alright, that'll do it for today. We have successfully added both a PDGO account that was automatically detected as well as one where we had to manually add it. If you have any other problems, feel free to reach out to us. support@pdgo.com or call us at (772) 770-4077 option two. Thank you for watching this video. I hope you have a great day. Take care. Bye Bye.
